Although my spring semester finals at San Francisco State are finally over, my work schedule is picking up much more than before and I’m about to move out of my apartment without a clue as to where my roommate and I will land next. Please bare with me temporarily as I pack my life into boxes and scramble around the city over the next few days.
In the midst of this mess, there’s not way I’m denying myself some fun in the city. Last week, I attended french jewelry designer Shourouk‘s F/W 2011 presentation at La Boutique in the financial district. The room was littered with delicious decor reminiscent of a Frida Khalo-Lisa Frank love child, gourmet cake pops and the ferocious designer herself. Check out the Stylequake Tumblr for a teaser of what’s to come.
Last night, Geno and I made it to Gilt City’s Born This Way listening party at the Crib – a club we San Francisco gays are ashamed to admit we’ve ever been to (even though our freshman year of college revolved around it). The VIP section was a treat, complete with white leather beds, Gaga streamers and bottomless Belvedere cocktails named after the Lady’s new tracks, Heavy Metal Lover and The Edge of Glory – yummy!
I’ll post features on both events later next week, when I’ll hopefully be situated in a new apartment and not living out of a suitcase on someone else’s couch. I may have been born this way/brave/haaay/etc., but I wasn’t born to scour Craigslist on the daily. Help me, Godga!
